Amorepacific signed an agreement to support the research of rising skin scientists with Skin Science Research Foundation and selected winners of this year.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

The rising skin scientist research support program aims to strengthen skin science research capability of Amorepacific as well as Korea and contribute to enhancing competitiveness. The program began in 2010, making this year the 11th year and has been extended for 5 more years.<\/p>\n

Specifically, Skin Science Research Foundation selects four outstanding up and coming skin scientists every year and Amorepacific provides a total of KRW 40 million in research funding per researcher over two years. As of today, Amorepacific delivered KRW 1.56 billion in research funding to 39 researchers and will be supporting an additional KRW 800 million.<\/p>\n

This year, the following research have been selected; \u25b2Yonsei University Yongin Severance Hospital Professor Kim Ji-hee\u2019s \u2018research on impact of particulate matter on skin\u2019s immune response regulation by demodex species\u2019, \u25b2Soonchunhyang University Cheonan Hospital Professor Kim Jung-eun\u2019s \u2018identifying impact of adipokine on the common cause of obesity and inflammatory skin diseases\u2019, \u25b2Chung-Ang University Hospital Professor Park Kui-young\u2019s \u2018research on mechanism of particulate matter causing worsening acne and identification of candidate materials for prevention and treatment\u2019, and \u25b2Ajou University Hospital Professor Choi Ji-woong\u2019s \u2018analysis of National Health Insurance Service sample cohort with a focus on the impact of general anesthesia on skin diseases\u2019.<\/p>\n

Head of Amorepacific R&D Center Park Young-ho said, \u201cI am deeply pleased to be able to continue our rising skin scientist research support program, which we have continued to support over the past 10 years\u201d and added his commitment saying, \u201cAmorepacific R&D Center will continue to deliver beauty and health to customers worldwide and pursue in-depth academic exchange to change the world through beauty.\u201d<\/p>\n
