On June 21, 2022, Amorepacific and the Korea Breast Cancer Foundation hosted the H1 2022 makeup your Life campaign at the Seoul Medical Center located in Seoul, Korea.
makeup your Life is a beauty therapy program designed to support cancer patients who suffer from sudden changes in their appearance, such as skin troubles and hair loss, through a makeup class. Launched in 2008, it has helped over 18,000 cancer patients learn how to take care of their appearance and get some normalcy back in their life. This year, Amorepacific has expanded the scope of the campaign.
The H1 2022 makeup your Life campaign was held at the Seoul Medical Center, which has served as an infectious disease hospital, particularly for patients with COVID-19 over the past two years. More than 70 medical team and staff members at the infectious disease unit attended two makeup classes, one in the morning and another in the afternoon. They learned about the latest makeup trends and how to use makeup products, and had a makeup demonstration and Q&A session with professional makeup artists.
Among others, six makeup artists at Amorepacific and the beauty creator Risabae took part in the campaign for talent donation. They provided makeup demonstrations right at the site and gave the most-welcomed 1:1 makeup coaching.
Amorepacific and the Korea Breast Cancer Foundation decided to bring the campaign to the Seoul Medical Center to encourage the medical team and staff members who have been struggling with fatigue amid the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic. It also aimed to help them take care of themselves and ease back into their normal life.
It was the first time in three years that the makeup your Life campaign took place offline. Starting with this year, it will be expanded into a beauty therapy campaign offering solutions to help more people care for their inner and outer selves.
